About Me

As a Swede turned global citizen, I have spent most of my adult life exploring different cultures and perspectives. Currently, I am based in the city of Geneva, Switzerland, where I am privileged to work as a Scientific and Technical Officer for the Convention on Wetlands. My interdisciplinary background in environmental policy, conservation biology, and psychology has allowed me to bring a unique perspective to my role and focus on policy research as well as monitoring and evaluation in the environmental sector.

With a PhD in Environmental Engineering from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna, I am passionate about two key areas of research. The first is the intersection of values and the natural environment, exploring how our perceptions and relationships with nature impact our behavior. The second is the impact of sectoral interests on international and EU forest-relevant policy.

My work with the UNECE Programme on Environmental Monitoring and Assessment has given me hands-on experience with environmental indicators and the development of a Shared Environmental Information System (SEIS). This experience has not only honed my skills but also sparked an academic interest in this area, leading to several published works on SEIS and environmental monitoring.

Let’s connect and explore the possibilities of making a positive impact on our environment and future generations!
